Real Madrid encourage Liverpool to bid for Canales

Liverpool are chasing Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales.

Sport says Canales rejected a move to Anfield in January, but Liverpool haven't given up their pursuit.

The Reds are willing to offer €6 million to sign Canales in June.

Despite Canales' insistence that he wants to stay in Madrid, Real are keen to sell and will encourage Liverpool to make a concrete offer.
