Real Madrid docs happy with Woodgate progress

Jonathan Woodgate's rehabilitation is on course at Real Madrid.
 
Reports yesterday suggested the England international had broken down in training and his career was in jeopardy. But AS says Woody completed a short training stint yesterday without incident and is on track for a full recovery.

While the England international has been left behind in Madrid as the rest of the squad continue their tour of the Far East, he will join his teammates in Austria next week.

Real medical staff agreed that Woodgate wasn't strong enough to undergo the travelling involved in Real's world-wide preseason tour, but are happy to see him take the short trip to Austria for the 10-day camp.
