Real Madrid directors push Antic appointment

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez held a lengthy meeting yesterday with his technical team about their winter market plans.
 
Only Sao Paulo fullback Cicinho is a confirmed arrival for Real Madrid, while other objectives are a left-sided winger, a creative midfielder and a striker.

Perez met with vice-president Emilio Butragueno and coach Juan Roman Lopez Caro, plus several technical staff.

It's emerged that while Perez wants Lopez Caro in charge for the rest of the season, some on the board believe the appointment of Radomir Antic would be a better answer to their current problems.
