The "Galacticos" garner most of the attention at Real Madrid under president Florentino Perez, but the coaches also have had their time in the spotlight.
Usually, it's when Madrid is falling off the pace being set by arch-rival Barcelona.
Several coaches have come and gone under Perez, and new soccer director Benito Floro has hinted that it's time for a new approach.
"Until now we have been talking about footballers," Floro said Monday. "But I am optimistic and convinced that trainers also can come from the second team, as well as the players."
"An organization of this caliber can offer continuity in play and results if this idea is promoted."
Floro, who coached Madrid for 20 months more than a decade ago, replaced Arrigo Sacchi before Christmas as Perez sought stability.
Since Perez decided to part with Vicente Del Bosque as coach in 2003, Carlos Queiroz, Jose Antonio Camacho, Mariano Garcia Remon and now Wanderley Luxemburgo have come and gone.
When Luxemburgo was sacked this month, Madrid announced second-team coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro was taking charge of the team on an interim basis.
