Real Madrid deny "ridiculous" interest for Liverpool's Abel

Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz has denied he is interested in signing Liverpool defender Abel Xavier.

Marca approached Queiroz yesterday to confirm his interest in the Portuguese international.

"It is ridiculous, ugly and inopportune," wrapped the Real trainer. "But we can see who needs the publicity."
