Real Madrid demand Schuster rip up Getafe deal

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon refuses to move for Bernd Schuster until he rips up his contract with Getafe.

The German is wanted by Calderon to succeed Fabio Capello, but nothing will be done until Schuster gains a release from the final year of his Getafe deal, says AS.

Not helping matters is the tense relationship between Calderon and Getafe president Angel Torres, who last night refused to rule out announcing today that Schuster would be honouring his deal for next season.

"I have a magnificent relationship with him [Torres]," said Calderon last week. "But I'm not sure how he sees me."
