Real Madrid defender Garay set for extended run

Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay is set for an extended first team run.

Garay is expected to step in for the injured Pepe today against Villarreal.

"They are a well-organised team and have always played very good football," he said.

"We will try to keep the ball from them because that's how they can cause us damage. They have a very good attack and we need to try and ensure they don't get much of the ball."

Regarding the two-point gap to pacesetters Barcelona, Garay added: "We need to win. And if we can cut the distance to top spot, then so much the better."
