Real Madrid deal on for Roma ace Totti

Real Madrid have come to an agreement for AS Roma playmaker Francesco Totti.

Spanish radio reports on Tuesday evening claimed the Roma skipper has already agreed terms with Real over a contract. Real are yet to approach Roma to begin negotiations over a potential transfer fee.

Real president Florentino Perez knows Roma counterpart Franco Sensi is struggling with his club's debts and a major offer is sure to test his resolve in holding onto Totti.

Chelsea have also tried for Totti this season, but an enquiry was given short shrift by Roma officials.

While Perez is determined to land Totti, the Italian ace is secondary to Real's priority of making another striker signing in the summer.

According to the report, Arsenal's Thierry Henry and Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy are the two topping Perez's list, particularly with the possibility of Ronaldo returning to Inter Milan gathering pace.
