Real Madrid crock Modric happy with injury recovery

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is upbeat over his injury recovery.

Modric is expected to get back next month.

He told Sportske Novosti: "Touch wood, but all is going well. I have another medical review coming up and if the doctor feels that all is well we can move onto then second phase of my rehabilitation process."

"Everything points to me playing again in mid-February. I won’t force things but will be ready for the big battles."

"When they told me that I’d be out for three months, I got pretty down, it reminded me of the time when I fractured my leg in 2009. In the end I tried to be positive. If this has to happen, best that it happens now and I can get back to playing in the final part of the season when things are decisive and titles can be won or lost."
