Real Madrid could block Middlesbrough deal for Geremi

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano is considering holding onto Geremi next season.

The Cameroon international has been outstanding on-loan at Middlesbrough and is wanted by the Premiership club on a permanent deal.

Talks are scheduled for this week, with Boro believing they can land Geremi for around £5 million.

However, indications are that Valdano is rethinking his position and could decide that the wing-back will remain with Real.
