Real Madrid continue Roma negotiations for Cassano

Real Madrid are locked in talks with Roma over a January deal for striker Antonio Cassano.
 
Real's chief agent, Enzo Bronzetti, is in the capital negotiating with Roma executive director Rosella Sensi over a fee for the striker.

Thus far, Real have tabled a £2.7 million bid for Cassano, who is off contract at the end of this season. However, Roma are insisting on £4 million.

To speed up talks, Real are dispatching finance chief Carlos Martinez de Albornoz to Rome to assist Bronzetti in negotiations. Albornoz has a good relationship with Roma staff after negotiating a deal for defender Walter Samuel last year.
