Real Madrid consider renewing key player until 2029 with wages on par with Mbappe

Vinicius Jr. signed a new contract with Real Madrid only last year, committing his future to the club until the summer of 2027.

One of the faces of this Real Madrid outfit, the Brazilian superstar has been key to the success that the team has achieved in recent years and as such, the Merengues want to make him feel protected and valued at the club.

s such, SPORT reports that Real Madrid are now considering the possibility of offering Vinicius a new contract in the summer of this year.

As mentioned earlier, the Brazilian’s current deal, which he signed in 2027, runs until the summer of 2027.

Now, the Merengues wish to add two more years to that contract and secure the 23-year-old superstar’s future until 2029.

The new deal would also come with a pay bump for the Brazilian so that his salary is on par or closer to what Kylian Mbappe would be earning when he joins in the summer.

The Frenchman, set to arrive from PSG, is expected to become the highest-paid player at Real Madrid and the club wish to hand Vinicius an improved contract so that his wages are closer to that of the expected new signing.

As reported just a while back, Vinicius is attracting interest from some European heavyweights like PSG, Liverpool, and Chelsea, who would be willing to pay €200 million for his signing.

But Real Madrid have no intentions of offloading the Brazilian international while the player himself is not looking for a way out from the Santiago Bernabeu.

As such, the possibility of an exit is off the table and the two parties could decide to further strengthen their partnership with a renewal until 2029.
