Real Madrid consider Liverpool target Coloccini

Real Madrid have contacted the representatives of AC Milan defender Fabricio Coloccini.

The Argentina international is already the subject of a £3 million bid from Liverpool and has also been linked with Tottenham and Fiorentina.

Coloccini spent last season on-loan at Villarreal, which has asked Milan for a price on his outright transfer.

Milan are prepared to sell for £4 million and Real Madrid have informed Coloccini's agents that they will sign him if they fail to land Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.
