In a short press release, Real Madrid confirmed their second transfer of the 2018-19 season. Newly-appointed coach will have one of Spain's most promising players available, as Los Blancos have landed the signing of 22-year-old right back Alvaro Odriozola.
The former Real Sociedad player will be unveiled in the next few weeks, following a medical. Odriozola signed a six-year deal with Los Blancos, and will be Dani Carvajal's replacement whenever needed.
Odriozola's signing will come in handy to his new coach, since Real Madrid didn't have a reliable backup for Dani Carvajal after Danilo's exit. Moroccan right back Achraf Hakimi filled in during the first weeks of the season, but his poor performances forced then-coach Zinedine Zidane to use Nacho or Lucas Vázquez as Carvajal's replacement.
