Real Madrid confirm interest in Arsenal's Henry

Real Madrid are tracking Arsenal star Thierry Henry.

Real's honorary chairman Alfredo di Stefano is a big fan of the French international and believes he deserves the World Player of the Year award ahead of Real's own Ronaldo.

Although Henry is ready to commit his future to the Gunners, Real have gone public with their interest.

A spokesman for the Spanish giants said: "Even though the club have signed Ronaldo, they would always be interested in Henry - if Arsenal were prepared to sell him."

"At the moment he is arguably one of the best strikers in the world."

"And Madrid deal only in top-class players."
