Real Madrid confident of FIFA ruling over Robinho deal

Real Madrid are confident they will be allowed to sign Santos winger Robinho once they take the case to FIFA.
 
Real are set to demand a ruling from a FIFA panel over Robinho's move to Spain after being thwarted in their attempts by Santos president Marcelo Teixeira.

Teixeira's stand has been supported by the Brazil FA (CBF), which informed Real over the weekend they must pay Robinho's buyout clause if they want to sign the winger.

Real chiefs are confident FIFA will rule in their favour when they introduce evidence of a verbal pact with Teixeira that Robinho would be sold to them this summer.

Also, Robinho has evidence of an assurance from Teixeira that he would be sold after the Copa Libertadores campaign. This promise was made during the kidnapping of Robinho's Mum last season.
