Real Madrid coach: Zidane not finished

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has hit out at pundits who say Zinedine Zidane's career is over after he suffered a new injury this week.

"He has pain and is not able to make smooth movements. He won't be ready for either game this week," said Luxemburgo.

"People have been hurtful in their comments. But it happened with Pelé, Maradona, Zico and Cruyff. All experienced bad moments, but they recovered."

"Zizou is having a difficult time, but with training and his quality, he will return. All those that criticize him will have to apologise."

"Zidane always will have my confidence. We are going to work with him so that his pains end and that people return to enjoy his fantastic play."
