Real Madrid coach wants Porto talks over Seitaridis

Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho was an interested observer at last night's Euro2004 final between Portugal and Greece.

Portuguese right-back Miguel and Greece's Giorgis Seitaridis are both under consideration for Camacho, who has asked his Real board to sign another fullback to act as cover for Michel Salgado.

But both players could prove difficult to land, with Miguel remaining a top target Newcastle United and Seitaridis said to have already agreed a deal with Porto.

Benfica and Newcastle have been locked in talks over Miguel for the past month and a decision is expected to be made over the next 48 hours by the Portuguese club regarding the player's future.

Panathinaikos defender Seitaridis is believed to have already been signed by Porto as a replacement for Chelsea-bound Paulo Ferreira, however nothing official has been announced.

This won't hold back Real, with sources suggesting the Madrid giants will take advantage of talks over Porto defender Ricardo Carvalho to also make an offer for Seitaridis, even though the Greek's move will be less than a month old.
