Real Madrid coach tells Ronaldo to buck up his ideas

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo has dismissed claims of a touchline bust-up with Ronaldo during Sunday's win over Real Mallorca.

Ronaldo was visibly upset after he was substituted, but Luxemburgo said yesterday: "I don't know what was up with him. He didn't say anything to me."

"For me, I will never think twice if I feel Ronaldo needs to be substituted. I will decide, if he has a problem with that, then its no concern of mine."

"I do not have to explain my decisions to the players."

The Real coach added: "I decided to change him because I saw that Mallorca's formation would not suit his characteristics."
