Real Madrid coach Schuster targets Roma striker Vucinic

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster is chasing Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

Controcampo says Schuster sees Vucinic as ideal cover for his first-choice strike-pairing of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Raul.

Vucinic is in co-ownership at Roma with Lecce and it's mooted the capital club would be willing to buy the remaining 50 per cent of the striker's registration for £4 million and then listen to what Real are willing to offer.

A bid of £18 million would convince Roma to cash in.
