Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster is reluctant to speak with the media after a difficult 48 hours.

El Mundo Deportivo says Schuster wants to have his assistant, Manolo Ruiz, rolled out for media conferences in the coming days.

Schuster had to endure questions on Saturday over Sergio Ramos' controversial interview, then on Sunday after the dramatic victory over Athletic Bilbao, again struggled to answer questions in good humour.

The German would prefer to work in the background until the latest controversies disappear, but it has been made clear by management that he must continue to be available to the media.
