Real Madrid coach Queiroz: We dominated Porto

Real Madrid bounced back from Saturday's 2-0 defeat in Valencia to thump Porto 3-1 last night.

After Costinha had given Porto an eighth minute lead, Real took over with goals from Ivan Helguera, Santiago Solari and Zinedine Zidane.

Afterwards, a delighted Real coach Carlos Queiroz said, "We did not lose concentration on the pitch, Porto surprised us in the beginning but we always were there, we responded, with discipline, attitude and effectiveness."

"After the first 15 minutes we dominated the game. We attacked down both flanks without allowing Porto to get back into the game."

"After Valencia, we spoke and we prepared ourselves not to commit the same errors. Madrid is an attacking team, but that does not mean we can forget our defence."
