Real Madrid coach Queiroz warns his galaticos

Real Madrid trainer Carlos Queiroz says his team deserved to be criticised after Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Valencia.

"It's normal, they're right," Queiroz told AS. "We deserve the criticism and we must accept it. The fans are not happy and we are not happy either with the result nor with the performance of the team."

Queiroz also sent a thinly veiled warning at his galaticos.

"It's important that when we win we don't let ourselves get carried away. We must keep our feet on the ground."

"It's crucial that our stars don't leave their heads in the clouds. That they realise that you must produce good football on the pitch."

"The stars are good for the press, making them larger than life. But the real stars produce the football on the pitch when it counts. When they do that, that's when they can be considered true champions."

"What happened in Valencia was not our reality. We will do better."
