Real Madrid coach Pellegrini: Ronaldo needs time to adjust

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini admits Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to fully adapt to life in Spain.

After their trouncing of Rosenborg in the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy, Pellegrini said: "In the offseason we've been working hard on many aspects and Cristiano has been subjected to many changes, country, League ... and that will take longer to adapt to."

"I think he is coming into good form for the start of the Liga."

Ronaldo played almost an hour in last night's 4-0 win and Pellegrini added: "I already have everything clear in my mind. The squad has given a great performance in preseason and I will have many options to make a good eleven."
