Real Madrid coach: Nothing personal against Figo

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo insists he has nothing against Luis Figo after dropping the Portuguese winger for last night's El Clasico against Barcelona.

"Look, I have no problem with Figo. I had to drop him because I wanted to take advantage of the good form of (Michael) Owen," said Luxemburgo. "What else could I do?"

"Raul, Figo or Zidane. I cannot play 12. Figo is upset - and I can understand that. But I am the trainer and I make decisions best for the team. I have nothing personal against Figo."

He added: "Figo is a classic player. He is not finished."
