Real Madrid coach Mourinho keeping hold of Gago

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is keeping hold of midfielder Fernando Gago.

The Argentina international and his agent Marcelo Lombillo met with general manager Jorge Valdano last week where he was assured he was in Mourinho's plans.

Under Manuel Pellegrini last season, Gago struggled for minutes and missed World Cup selection.
