Real Madrid coach Mourinho confident no resentment between Carvalho, Pepe

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is confident there's no rift between defenders Pepe and Ricardo Carvalho.

Carvalho walked out on Portugal last week in part after complaining over the lack of training Pepe had put in.

Marca says Mourinho doesn't believe he will need to mediate between the pair as Carvalho made it clear his problem was with Portugal coach Paulo Bento and not Pepe.

Indeed, Real management are pleased with developments as Carvalho has announced his international retirement, so devoting his time wholly to the Madrid cause.
