Real Madrid coach Luxemburgo: No pressure from critics

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo insists he has a strong relationship with president Florentino Perez.
 
Before yesterday's clash with Espanyol, Luxemburgo said he accepted the criticism of his team, but hoped that things didn't get personal.

He said: "It's normal. I respect the critics, the debates ... it's the rules of top level sport. I only ask for respect when people speak. I respect their views and I hope they show respect in mine."

Luxemburgo added: "I always speak with Perez, Sacchi, Butragueño. I always see them with a smile. I have a contract and we cannot say that the season is lost after two defeats."

"I am more animated when the team loses, because the players must see your face so that they trust you when they're winning."
