Real Madrid coach hails "fantastic" Man Utd keeper

Real Madrid eventually cruised to an easy 3-1 win over Racing Santander yesterday.

Yossi Benayoun gave Racing a shock lead before Zinedine Zidane and a Raul double helped Real to a comfortable win.

Real coach Carlos Queiroz said afterwards: "It has been a difficult game, we know that. But we are happy because in the end it was a good win. After conceding the goal, we have played with intelligence, patience and great sacrifice."

He added, "With victories like this it shows the prestige of Real Madrid. Just because we are Madrid, doesn't mean we will automatically win every game. Today we have seen that to win it is necessary to work, to know how to suffer, to have determination, intelligence and, of course, quality."

Queiroz also praised Manchester United loan goalkeeper Ricardo, who kept Racing in the game.

"We could have scored more goals, but Ricardo was fantastic. He made saves from what seemed certain goals against Zidane, Figo and Roberto Carlos in the last minutes."
