Real Madrid coach coy over Man Utd's Ferdinand

Barcelona insist they are not interested in Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand or Real Madrid striker Michael Owen.
 
Barca president Joan Laporta said: "While it's true Rio Ferdinand is a brilliant player and Michael Owen is also a fantastic player, I have to insist that Barcelona are not planning any more signings."

Meanwhile, Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo refuses to deny their interest in Ferdinand.

"We keep our negotiations to ourselves. Signings and sales are private matters," said Luxemburgo when asked about Ferdinand.

"Little by little we will see who is going to be going and who's going to be coming. But that's a matter for us and we will do it calmly."
