Real Madrid coach Capello: Ronaldo OK

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has played down Ronaldo's absence from preseason training.

Ronaldo is continuing his recovery from surgery in Rio de Janeiro.

Capello said: "If he (Ronaldo) can't work there is no point him being here."

"We decided with Dr (Alfonso) Del Corral (the club doctor) that he spends two weeks recovering from the operation in Brazil and then he will be treated in Madrid. There is no need to ask him to come here."
