Real Madrid coach Camacho: Owen, Woodgate were my choices

Real Madrid trainer Jose Antonio Camacho has refused to close the door on the club's summer spending.

Camacho also insisted both Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Owen were players he wanted at Real this season.

He told Marca: "Until the last moment (31st of August) it is not possible to say that our transfers are completely closed. If something very interesting for us appears, we will study it and see what can be done. We are always looking."

"Woodgate is a player that I have wanted. I've been studying him for a long time. The only problem was his injury."

"Equally, Owen comes here to give us more options. Last season everybody complained because we did not have enough variety. Well, that has now changed with Owen's arrival."
