Real Madrid coach battling for Fenerbahce's Alex

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo wants to bring Fenerbahce attacker Alex to Spain in January.

Luxemburgo has asked Alex's representatives to keep him informed of the playmaker's situation in Istanbul, where he has been a star for the last 18 months.

Real management are reluctant to move for yet another Brazilian, fearing it could lead to a breakdown in morale amongst the players. But Luxemburgo is convinced Alex's versatility could be the solution to his problems in midfield this season.
