Real Madrid chiefs agree on push for Juventus ace Emerson

Real Madrid chiefs have agreed to pursue a deal for Juventus midfielder Emerson.

The Brazil international was forced to deny quotes attributed to him last week that he wanted a move to Real.

Real chiefs Arrigo Sacchi and Emilio Butragueno have discussed signing Emerson with coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and all three are agreed that they must try to bring the Brazil international to Spain over the summer.

In Brazil, press reports state Emerson indeed wants to join Real Madrid and that a deal can be struck at the end of this season.

Emerson, however, is in a difficult position as Real won't move until he asks away from Juve - a move that will not go down well with local fans as the Brazilian only joined last summer from AS Roma.
