Real Madrid chief Zidane in London on weekend for Spurs talks over Bale

Real Madrid will step up their pursuit of Tottenham star Gareth Bale in the coming days.

The Daily Star says Zinedine Zidane due in London this weekend for talks with Spurs.

The Wales star’s agent stunned Spurs by issuing a come-and-get-me plea to the Spanish giants on TV last night.

Director of football Zidane will fly in hoping to do the £60m deal, with Madrid president Florentino Perez a massive fan.

Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett said: "If Florentino is interested in Gareth Bale, then that would be an honour and we would listen."
