Real Madrid chief Valdano raps fans for targeting Pellegrini

Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano admits Atletico had them on the rack in the final minutes of yesterday's derby win.

Valdano was unhappy with Sergio Ramos' dismissal.

He said: "The game was very tense because Atletico attacked with many players. The truth is that it has been a tough week. In two of the last three games we had to play many minutes with ten and that meant that physical exertion has been great, because we almost always played with the same team."

Real coach Manuel Pellegrini was struck by a missile during the game and Valdano added: "In the directors box and the people around me have been very polite. Here was 50,000 and only one gets crossed wires."
