Real Madrid chief Valdano insists no regrets missing out on Arsenal's Wenger

Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano insists they've lost nothing in appointing Manuel Pellegrini as coach after missing out on Arsenal's Arsene Wenger.

"Pellegrini is the Wenger of the Spanish Liga," said Valdano. "He is a man who knows the football that is expected here perfectly and also is a coach who has come to professional maturity."

"I believe that everything he's done merits the post he has now."
