Real Madrid chief Pedja: We were non-existent

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic branded Fabio Capello's team as "non-existent" after last night's shock at Villarreal.

Mijatovic snapped: "There's little you can say about the second-half. We have not tested their goalkeeper, we were non-existent and we lost."

"We knew that it was going to be a difficult game, with Villarreal being very strong at home, but in the second-half we have not existed."

"Now it is necessary to think and to see if we can find solutions. We must work more, to look at our failures and to improve in the next games."

Asked if imminent AC Milan signing Ronaldo could have made a difference, Mijatovic angrily replied: "No. He lost himself (while here)."
