Real Madrid chief: No Chelsea offer for Makelele

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has rejected reports that Claude Makelele could be on his way to Chelsea.

Its suggested the Blues are willing to double Makelele's wages to bring him to London.

But Valdano said last night: "We have not received any offer from the English club (Chelsea)."

"We do not intend to sell our midfielder. He is not on the market."
