Real Madrid chief Mijatovic: Schuster safe

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has dismissed criticism of his market work in the wake of last week's Champions League elimination.

"The critics always exist. I am the sport director and when things do not turn out like we want, they always attack me. I do not have any problem," said Mijatovic, who also insisted coach Bernd Schuster would be in charge next season.

"Of course we want to continue with Schuster. We have confidence in our trainer and I want him to continue. Nothing is going to happen like last year with (Fabio) Capello. We are very happy with Schuster."
