Real Madrid chief Mijatovic insists: Second-place not bad

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic admits they had no answer to Barcelona after last night's 6-2 home humiliation.

"We must recognise that we played a team that was far superior," said Mijatovic.

"The truth is, after the first fifteen minutes, we ran into a great Barcelona team."

"Defensive errors proved very costly for us."

"We value the work of our team and we're 21 points ahead of third place, but Barcelona is just unstoppable and I must congratulate them."

Asked about this season, Mijatovic added: "Second place isn't bad."
