Real Madrid chief Mijatovic confirms Cassano sale plans

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic admits they're touting Antonio Cassano around Europe this month.

Mijatovic is desperate to offload the Italian and said last night: "We've had our problems with him. There's been a couple of issues."

"We are going to try to find a solution that is good for him and the club and, if nothing important in the ten days left of the market happens, then we will have consider other alternatives."

Meanwhile, Mijatovic insisted David Beckham will see out the final six months of his contract before moving to LA Galaxy in June.

"Like many players who have done important things for this club, he wants to play, but also there are young players with great promise ahead of him and we must look after the future of Real Madrid."

"Whether he plays or not is a decision we leave to the coach."
