Real Madrid chief Mijatovic accelerates Wigan talks for Valencia

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic is accelerating negotiations with Wigan Athletic for winger Luis Antonio Valencia.

AS says Mijatovic has been handed a £17 million budget to land a new winger and is focusing on Valencia as he is not Cup-tied from the Champions League.

Valencia is keen on a return to Spain, where he was snapped up by Wigan from Villarreal.
