Real Madrid chief delighted with Beckham form

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano is convinced David Beckham can bring a new dimension to the Spanish champions.

Valdano said: "This season he will add many points to our Liga campaign - I have no doubt about that."

"His ability in handling the ball and not losing possession is exceptional. No-one else at Real Madrid has his range of passing, particularly over 30 to 40 metres. He also has superior shooting ability from 20 to 30 metres."

"He also has an outstanding sense of being able to anticipate turnovers and to have a player with his organizational ability playing on the right-side of our midfield is a huge bonus."
