Real Madrid chief Butragueno hopes victory is turning point

Real Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueno hopes Wednesday night's shock win over Real Sociedad will be a "turning point" in their season.

"This triumph is great news. I hope that the team responds. We have players of an enormous quality and there are so many weeks ahead us that this team is capable of reversing the situation," said Butragueno.

"The triumph is most important for all the players, for Luxemburgo, for Sacchi and the fans. Its an extraordinary Christmas present."

"The derby (against Atletico Madrid) will be difficult. But this triumph will help us psychologically."
