Real Madrid chief Baldini continues transfer talks over Gago, Higuain

Real Madrid director Franco Baldini saw Gonzalo Higuain score for River Plate yesterday against Gimnasia La Plata.
 
Baldini spent two hours with River president Jose Maria Aguilar as they discussed a fee for the teenager. Real have made a formal offer of £5 million for Higuain, while Aguilar is insisting on £10 million before allowing the youngster to leave.

Real are prepared to meet Boca's £10 million asking price for Gago, who they regard as more a priority than Higuain. Baldini will later today meet with Gago's agent, Marcelo Lombilla, to keep him up-to-speed on negotiations.
