Real Madrid chasing Roma pair De Rossi, Mancini

Real Madrid sports director Pedja Mijatovic is planning an end-of-season double raid on Roma for midfield stars Daniele de Rossi and Amantino Mancini.

"De Rossi is the player I like most from Roma," said Mijatovic recently. "He is a great midfielder, young and talented. He is very good player."

De Rossi's Roma teammate Mancini is also in Mijatovic's sights, having attempted to land the Brazilian last summer as part of Cicinho's sale to the Italian giants.

Both Roma players are locked in drawn-out new contract talks and Gazzetta dello Sport says Mijatovic is willing to offer De Rossi £4 million-a-year to quit Italy at the end of the season.
