Real Madrid captain Casillas: Incomprehensible Ballon d’Or awarded to Barcelona attacker Messi

Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has branded the awarding of the Ballon d'Or to Lionel Messi as "incomprehensible".

Casillas insists the Barcelona star did not deserve the gong.

"It is incomprehensible," he told Onda Cero. "If it is to reward the best in the world it would be Cristiano (Ronaldo)."

"But if it is for the season then it should be awarded to (Wesley) Sneijder."
