Real Madrid Cannot Lose Against Teams Like Alcorcon

Royston Drenthe believes that Real Madrid should not have lost to lowly Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey because of the strength that they have available.

Dutchman was embarrassed after he and his team-mates produced a woeful display and were beaten 4-0 by the third tier side on Tuesday evening.

Though Drenthe was one of the worst performers on the night, he spoke out after the game and claimed that such a result was simply not on.

"These defeats cannot happen. Losing tonight [Tuesday] wasn't normal. With all due respect for Alcorcon, Real Madrid cannot lose like this," he was quoted as saying by the club's official website

"We cannot give up. We must be strong and continue improving.

"Every team that plays Real Madrid wants to win. We are a great club, but we need to prove it."
