Real Madrid can land Arsenal's Vieira for £26M

Arsenal have told Real Madrid they can sign captain Patrick Vieira for £26 million.

The Telegraph says Real Madrid asked Arsenal to name their price for Vieira more than two weeks ago and that they were quoted a fee of €42m - just over £26 million.

The request is said to have come from representatives of Florentino Perez before he was re-elected as the club's president at the weekend.
